Medical News: Sex Drive Low in Men Above 30

October 29th, 2007

An inability of sex drives and impotent may be a result of low testosterone or steroid hormone levels in men above 30, according to the scientists who conducted the research.

The study found that 1in 4 men above 30 have low steroid hormone levels, and 1in 4 every 20 men have medical symptoms connected to a deficiency, according to a recent research by the New England Research Institute.

Researchers analyzed data from a massive study on almost 1,500 men enrolled in the Boston Area Community Health Survey, aged 30 to 79 years and compiled data on the volunteersÂ’ testosterone, symptoms of hormone deficiency, and medications that may blow sex hormone levels.

Low down testoterone can indicate an androgen deficiency if it is accompanied by low sex drive, erectile dysfunction or impotent, fracture, and two or more of the following: sleep disturbance, depressed frame of mind, lessened or reduced physical performance.
